Embrace I + II, 2011- 2014

A contemporary alternative to the classic round or elliptical formation whereby we offer two tables that can be combined into a larger one. Embrace I seats seven, Embrace I+II seats ten. Ease of conversation is the aim: often fragmented by a rectangular ten-person table.

Embrace I design concept

Design Concept

In this edition, the larger element is pink, the smaller is grey and both work well with our red and black Arne Jacobsen plywood chairs. In daily use Embrace I serves as a dining table and the grey, Embrace II, as a desk.

We embarked on early prototypes at home already around 2005 opting to leave behind our longish rectangular dinning table for the reasons mentioned above.

2nd Prototype

The table tops are made from 18mm Birtch plywood sheet, 2440mmx1220mm, cut by CNC machine, sanded and sprayed by industrial paint in semi gloss finish. Legs made of 12mm hollow steel tubes.
